Well here’s a bit of the inside story. I fell in love with fashion a long time ago and let me just mention that I don’t want to bore you with the details of how it all began from when I was a little girl so I’ll jump straight into my adult life and leave the teenage years alone.
I first started blogging for Makiarto three years ago and back then I was still based in South Africa and the blogging business got to be more interesting so I decided to travel the world more and learn a thing or two.
This includes to name a few, daily research about the fashion industry, the latest fashion trends, fashion weeks, designers, make up tips and even other bloggers. I still walk around the streets in strange countries in the hope of spotting one brave fashionista, you know the type of person who set personal trends and really make fashion more enviable than ever before. I mostly enjoy doing personal profiles as I get to find out more about my celebrated fashionistas, I get to ask questions about their style and in a way we all get a few tips to take home. I enjoy travelling around the world just for this, I get to meet a lot of people, make friends in different countries and still try hard to fit in as a local….don’t laugh I know it’s weird.
Let me give you more details on what our main focus is about. We are all about the aesthetics of art. We focus more on the beauty in the creative industry mainly in fashion, style, beauty, culinary arts, visual arts, creative writing and lifestyle. Every creative mind tends to bring an aspect of art in their work, be it putting an outfit together, writing an interesting article or designing a garment from scratch. The beauty of art is all in the appreciation of the work invested. I often ask people what beauty is and if it can really be defined or can we appreciate it from the efforts and time that was invested? I believe the answer is all in the person’s taste or preference and this is what makes the creative industry so interesting.
We feature different looks and ideas created by people from all walks of life but all working towards a similar goal, individualist creativity. Spotting a stylish person on the street and capturing that moment or attending an event while doing a collective of different looks is what seems to inspire people the most. People are always curious about what others
do and what appeals to them comes from a more personal level and this is why most of my blog features are not based on the interviews conducted but on what I see from a casual view. I try and focus on the positive aspects of what the creatives goals are, or the beauty that comes from what is created. Like many say, anything created out of love appeals more to the eye just like food can have a more mouthwatering taste. There is no perfection in our art but everything is created in inspirations to perfection.
The idea behind LimaBrown is to inspire others and to continue to explore the creative minds while appreciating the hard work every artist put in. Art is a broad spectrum and I believe every creative mind becomes an artist in their own right.
